Mira manages our Europe-Asia Department, which covers the South Caucasus, South Asia and our cross-regional programmes.
Mira has over 15 years hands-on peacebuilding experience, with specific expertise in monitoring, evaluation and learning, financial processes and grant management, gender and diversity. She has managed projects, mostly in the South Caucasus region, focusing on issues of good governance, inclusion, displacement, conflict transformation, media development, and anti-personnel mines.
Mira joined Conciliation Resources' Caucasus Programme as Projects Manager in October 2008, working alongside local partners, primarily in the Georgian-Abkhaz context, and facilitating dialogue processes.
Previously Mira was based in the South Caucasus for over five years, running the Heinrich Böll Foundation's Women’s Empowerment and Gender Democracy programme, and advising Geneva Call as an international consultant. Mira holds an M.A. in English language and literature, Slavic studies and Philosophy from the University of Cologne. She is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, and certified mental health first aider. Languages other than English: German (native), Russian (proficient), Georgian (conversational).
