
Training peace-makers for the future
mediatEUr has a network of experienced trainers to train and coach parties in conflict; mediators; officials and policymakers in negotiation, mediation and facilitation. Examples of training themes include gender sensitive conflict analysis, humanitarian mediation, and the use of peace technologies in mediation efforts.
mediatEUr have provided trainings for diplomats from the EU, OSCE, Member states, the UN, and local conflict parties alike. Trainings are based on their academic and practical experience, in interaction with other practitioners and peace makers and tailored to the specific context and audience.
Deploying mediation expertise around the globe
Since 2012 mediatEUr has been deploying mediation expertise for the European Union around the globe through specialised contracts and assignments. They work in partnership with Swisspeace, ESSEC-Irene, Search for Common Ground, European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) and the Toledo Centre for International Peace CITPAX to execute a framework contract entitled “Conflict Prevention and Mediation Support.” The objective is to provide high-quality, timely and tailored external expertise and technical assistance in the areas of conflict prevention, peace mediation and dialogue support through a network of proven and trusted experts.
