The Women Mediators across the Commonwealth (WMC) network is now hosted by the London School of Economics Centre for Women Peace and Security. Conciliation Resources provided the Secretariat for the network from 2018-2022. Coordinated by Conciliation Resources, WMC is a platform for the peer-to-peer exchange and learning of women mediators from across Commonwealth countries. Launched in July 2018, the network now has 45 members from 21 different countries.
A unique feature of this network is that it connects the grassroots with the national and international – enabling the women to share their diverse experiences with each other. WMC members have mediation experience ranging from mediating conflict at the community level, to formally mediating conflicts as part of official peace processes. Through peer-to-peer mentoring, a series of training and network development workshops, the network brings together these experienced mediators for the valuable sharing of lessons learned and best practices.
The network also helps to raise the profile of individual mediators with specific thematic and geographic expertise who can be called upon for mediation work when required.

Women Mediators across the Commonwealth is a member of the Global Alliance of Women Mediators Networks, along with the Mediterranean Women Mediators Network, Nordic Women Mediators, and FemWise Africa. These networks are coming together to ensure strengthened cooperation and coordination between the regional women mediators networks, as well as embodying a collective voice to amplify their common goals.
