The meeting was jointly organised by the PRISM division of the EEAS and the FPI in the framework of ERMES 3- the European Resources for Mediation Support which mediatEUr supports to implement. Twenty prominent female political representatives and representatives from civil society, including academics and human rights activists, gathered to share experiences on the role of women in peace processes, mediation, peace building and conflict resolution. On 5 December, Federica Mogherini, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, participated in the closing session of the event, where representatives presented her with concrete recommendations for the Syrian and Yemeni peace process, followed by an exchange of views on how to bring those forward.
In 2021, mediatEUr became Conciliation Resources EU/mediatEUr.
