Northern Kenya has a long history of ethnic clashes, but new drivers of conflict are heightening local tensions and raising challenges for traditional peacebuilding structures. We're working to help strengthen community-level and cross-border peacebuilding, and to support Local Peace Committees in Garissa County.

In September, ten peacebuilders travelled from Kenya to West Africa, where we've been working with partners since 2010 to esablish a network of 18 community peacebuilding platforms. The visit was an opportunity for Kenyan and West African peacebuilders to learn from each other’s challenges and successes, to help them build more peaceful and inclusive societies.

In this film, they share what they learnt from the visit and their thoughts on how to build sustainable peace.
