This joint report from Conciliation Resources and Bo Peace and Reconciliation Movement gives context and details of both organisations' efforts to help resolve local conflicts in Sierra Leone.

The partnership works in rural communities, who have typically been the most affected by war, and its work has included training and supporting local peace monitors to become trusted mediators of community disputes.  The report contains real case studies and also examines divisions in the Wonde chiefdom and in the villages of Helebu and Massa.

At the end of the report is a section on key lessons learned.  For example, using cultural sensitivity to challenge traditions and ensuring the involvement of the whole community.
