Conciliation Resources is promoting an innovative international action plan on women, peace and security.  Together with the British embassy, we brought together the Philippine Government, the UN, embassies and both local and international NGOs to discuss Philippine and international responses to the global debate on women, peace and security.

This summary sets out the various presentations made.  Teresita Ging Deles (the Presidential Advisor on the peace processes) spoke about the Philippine National Action Plan.  Aida Jean Manipon (National Coordinator of UN Women) introduced the five related Security Council Resolutions.

Jasmin Galace and Irene Santiago briefed attendees about the We Act 1325 network and the Mindanao 1325 network.  Cynthia Petrigh and Patricia Triemer, members of the International Monitoring Team, then gave their observations from the field.
