Purpose of the CCTS
The CCTS creates a forum for the discussion of practical experience, and the challenges and questions arising from it. Regular committee meetings are structured to enable members to reflect on their practice and develop critical awareness and understanding of their role. The meetings also provide a forum for exchanging information and contacts and sometimes the development of cooperative or complementary work.
The committee also organizes seminars for the exploration of particular issues or areas of work. Seminars create an opportunity for more extended, in-depth discussion than is possible in committee meetings and papers are often commissioned in advance. Seminars are sometimes open to non-committee members with an interest in conflict transformation.
The CCTS also publishes a quarterly Review, containing, alternately, seminar papers and reports, and reflective articles, book reviews and other features related to conflict transformation. The reviews are all published online.
