Who we are

""

Conciliation Resources (CR) is an international non-governmental organization registered in the UK as a charity.

We work with partners in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Pacific. These include local and international civil society organizations and governments.

We seek to influence government peacemaking policies and also publish the journal Accord: an international review of peace initiatives. Our funding is through grants from governments, independent trusts and foundations.

Our vision

We want a world where people affected by conflict and their leaders are able to work effectively with international support to prevent violence, resolve their armed conflicts and build more peaceful societies. We believe conflicts can be transformed peacefully and that peacemaking and peacebuilding are essential in helping lay the foundations for more just and inclusive societies.

For more information read our strategic plan for 2009-11 or our latest annual review.

Our goals are to:

We play an active role in British, European and global peacebuilding networks and initiatives. These include the European Peacebuilding Liaison Office (EPLO), the Mediation Support Network, the Alliance for Peacebuilding (USA) and the BOND Conflict Policy Working Group (UK).

Past networks include the Committee for Conflict Transformation Support and the Peace and Security Liaison Group (UK).
