About
Kennedy Tumutegyereize

Kennedy leads our project implementation and programme direction in East and Central Africa. Since joining Conciliation Resources in 2007 he has worked with partners in Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan and Uganda. Recently he has worked with over three thousand young people in northeastern DRC to increase their engagement with the local authorities and integrate returnees from armed groups into civilians, including working with them to develop alternative sources of livelihood and increasing their participation in community peacebuilding.

Previously, he worked as a conflict specialist with USAID in the LRA-affected regions of Uganda and as a program coordinator with DANIDA. He has helped to facilitate peace talks between the Ugandan government and the Uganda National Rescue Front II, and led development interventions in areas emerging from conflict. Before that, Kennedy was programme officer with Oxfam and before then a policy and research officer for the Uganda Debt Network, a local NGO in Uganda. He holds an M.A. in Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford and an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from Makerere University, Kampala.
