Monica coordinates the Women Mediators across the Commonwealth programme. She has supported the development of the new project, which works across multiple teams within Conciliation Resources. She helped with member selection of the network of women mediators, and has facilitated their development through organising network meetings and peer-to-peer learning opportunities.
Before joining Conciliation Resources Monica worked in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a youth peacebuilding organisation that worked to bridge interethnic divides. During her time there she conducted research into the impact of the organisation’s ability to increase levels of tolerance in local youth. She also worked on a European network of academics and practitioners in peacebuilding education. Monica has a bachelor’s degree in politics from the University of Glasgow, and a master’s degree in Global Conflict and Peace Processes from the University of Aberdeen where she specialised in diversity and inclusion within women’s inclusion in peacebuilding. Monica speaks English and Bosnian.
