Mark Bradbury

Mark Bradbury is a social analyst and an experienced aid practitioner and researcher. He has lived and worked in Sudan and Somalia. His research has covered Somalia, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Kosovo, conflict and development, complex emergencies, conflict resolution, and human rights.

He has worked extensively in Somalia and Somaliland and is the author of the Human Development Report for Somalia (2001, UNDP), Becoming Somaliland (2008, James Currey), Whose Peace is it anyway? connecting Somali and international peacemaking (2009, Conciliation Resources), Winning Hearts and Minds? Examining the Relationship between Aid and Security in Kenya (2010, Feinstein International Centre, Tufts University). 
 
Mark is Director of the Rift Valley Institute Horn of Africa Course, and was Chair of Conciliation Resources' Board until 2013.
