About
The Dialogue Fiji initiative was formed in early 2009 by a group of civil society leaders determined to build a dialogue process capable of bringing people from across Fiji’s social and political divides together in dialogue.
The initiative consists of a full-time secretariat, based in Suva, which is directed by a 12-member committee made up of representatives from Fiji’s NGO community, the Fiji Government, academics, the private sector, and Fiji’s media. This committee in turn receives its mandate from a ‘Dialogue Assembly’, an annual assembly of up to 100 members of Fiji’s broader civil society and Fiji government.
Dialogue Fiji organises three-day regional and national dialogue events, including a broad range of government and non-governmental participants, typically leaders in their respective sectors.
