When Tweeting about conflict and peace it’s very easy to fall into an “if it bleeds it leads” approach – championed by much of the mainstream media. Although important this tells a limited story, which begins and ends with violence.

As peacebuilders it is our responsibility to diversify these conversations by exploring the longevity of peace processes, including resources, dialogues and mediation.

With a growing community of people on Twitter interested in conflict resolution, our industry is being presented with the unique opportunity to shift the public discourse around peacebuilding. We should seize it.

For #FF we are celebrating some of our favourite Tweeters (in no particularly order), who are already challenging the default approach and talking about the length and breadth of building sustainable peace.

We know this list isn’t exhaustive, and we’d love to know your favourites too! Tweet your suggestions to @CRbuildpeace.
