Evento: Mesa por la paz – Londres, 19 de mayo

Con la presencia de cinco representantes de la Comisión de Paz del Congreso, la Mesa Europea por la Paz es la oportunidad para que los colombianos residentes en el Reino Unido expresen sus propuestas y participen en el proceso de paz entre el gobierno y las FARC.

Todo colombiano preocupado y comprometido con el futuro del país está invitado, independientemente de su ideología, simpatía, escepticismo o crítica con las negociaciones.

With attendance by five representatives of the Commission for Peace of the Colombian Congress, the Colombia Peace Forum is the opportunity for Colombians living in the UK to present proposals and participate in the peace process taking place between the government and the FARC.

All Colombians concerned with and committed to the future of the country are invited to participate, regardless of ideology, sympathy, skepticism or criticism of the negotiations.

Funded by the European Commission, the People’s Peacemaking Perspectives (PPP) project was an 18-month joint initiative between Conciliation Resources and Saferworld.

At the culmination of the project a 38-page report and a 4-page executive summary highlighted the key lessons from this in-depth participatory research.

EU's role in conflict resolution: Georgian and Abkhaz perspectives

Conciliation Resources' Georgian and Abkhaz partners carried out a series of focus groups in late 2011. Participants in seven locations across the conflict divide included teachers, businesspeople,  politicians, journalists and civil society activists. Their findings contributed to a policy brief on the Georgian–Abkhaz conflict, published by Conciliation Resources and Saferworld in March 2012 as part of the People's Peacemaking Perspectives project.
