The Dialogue Through Film project is a unique bilateral collaboration across the Nagorny Karabakh conflict divide. The project started in 2006 and has involved five young journalists from Azerbaijan and five from Nagorny Karabakh in professional training to enable them to produce short films for broadcast. In 2007 a further ten journalists have become involved in the project. See the photos and text... Also viewable in Russian.

Conciliation Resources’ Radio Diaries project started in 2002 and involves 20 radio stations and over 40 journalists working in Georgia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nagorny Karabakh. Every month, dozens of 3-5 minute diaries recorded by ordinary people talking about their lives and challenges after war are broadcast on radio stations in the region. One of the key characteristics of Sierra Leone's 10-year conflict was the physical and psychosocial devastation left on the entire nation. The beginnings of peace in 2002 marked a time for broken communities to heal and old and new conflicts to be resolved in a non-violent way. One innovative community response was developed by local organizations who used respected members of civil society groups as peace monitors. See the photos and text...
