Peacebuilding works: A British foreign policy priority

This speech was given by Andy Carl of Conciliation Resources at its 10-year anniversary event, which was co-hosted by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Mr Carl celebrates the organisation's achievements in, for example, Sierra Leone and the South Caucasus and also through the Accord publications series.  

He reiterates the value of pursuing peaceful processes and identifies areas of opportunity for the British government going forward.  These include supporting engagement with non-state groups and recognising the complementary role of civil society.
