Comparative resources on peace initiatives

Beyond Intractability: a free knowledge base on more constructive approaches to destructive conflict.

UN Peacemaker: a web-based operational support tool for international peacemaking professionals.

Stockholm International Peace Research Institute: the SIPRI website features a country profiles database as well as a range of documentation on recent research projects.

SIPRI's Facts on International Relations and Security Trends (FIRST) database contains 38 tables from several institutes.

Incore peace agreements: the Initiative in Conflict Resolution and Ethnicity of the Ulster University in Northern Ireland publishes an online directory of peace agreements and summaries of recent ceasefires and peace accords.

United States Institute for Peace library: the USIP website contains a Peace Agreements Digital Collection. It is constantly updated and contains the full text of agreements signed by the major contending parties ending inter- and intra-state conflicts worldwide since 1989.

The Heidelberg Institute of International Conflict Research: the HIIK website contains a Conflict Barometer which describes the recent trends in conflict development, escalations, settlements and gives a prognosis for short and mid-term trends in global political conflicts. They also publish KOSIMO, a database with approximately 693 political conflicts from 1945 to 1999.
