International Dialogue on Peacebuilding and Statebuilding - Civil society input to the Monrovia meeting

Conciliation Resources is part of the Civil Society Advisory Group to the International Dialogue on Peacebuilding and Statebuilding.  The purpose of the dialogue is to examine good practices and key bottlenecks for international support.  As part of this process, Conciliation Resources contributed to this civil society input document, placing a particular emphasis on peacebuilding.  

The submissions contain comments on issues such as development aid, the relationship between statebuilding and peacebuilding and also international assistance.  There is also commentary on objectives regarding legitimate politics, security, economic foundations, justice and accountable government.
