A difficult encounter: The informal Georgian–Abkhazian dialogue process

In this report, Oliver Wolleh of the Berghof Research Center presents the informal Georgian–Abkhaz dialogue process - a series of workshops jointly organised by the Center and Conciliation Resources which facilitated discussions between representatives from both sides of the conflict.

In this overview of the process, the report describes and analyses both the development of the project (together with methods used to overcome problems) and key topics discussed in the workshops in order to give the reader an excellent understanding of the project and an evaluation of its achievements.
