At the invitation of Conciliation Resources a dialogue workshop on the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict and peace process took place in London from 24-27 February 2015. The meeting brought together officials and public figures from both sides of the conflict. On the fourth day, participants were joined by international experts.

The meeting provided a forum for participants to exchange information and to analyze opportunities and obstacles in the peace process in an atmosphere that encourages realism and mutual respect.

The participants examined political developments over recent years. They engaged in a joint analysis of the present situation, exchanged views on the geopolitical context, and discussed a range of issues that impact on the lives of people affected by conflict. The discussions in the workshop were frank, open and respectful. Participants emphasized the importance of having opportunities for information exchange and increasing mutual understanding. They welcomed the opportunity to meet in an informal and unofficial context that does not have a decision-making character.

The Georgian participants were Ketevan Chumbadze, Marina Elbakidze, Giorgi Kadjaia, Mikheil Mirziashvili, Giorgi Volski, Paata Zakareishvili.
