Crossing boundaries: Sub-regional conference on civil society and security sector cooperation: Conference report

This report by Conciliation Resources summarises discussions at a conference it helped to organise about security within the Mano River Union (MRU).  This was part of a wider Strengthening Citizen Security project.

The objectives of the conference were to inform participants about security structures in MRU countries and focus on the challenges for civil society.

Contents of the report include: presentations about security structures within Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea; working group discussions about cross-border security and information flows between civil society and the security sector; and a statement of recommendations for sustained and enhanced civil society and security sector cooperation.
