The missing link UNIONIST PARTY COUNCIL MEMBER: INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTIONS [No. 1] You are a member of the ruling council of the Unionist Party, which decides policy and you are very familiar with the thinking of party members. In your judgement a majority of members share your view that the party leadership were wrong to accept the Belfast Agreement because the IRA and Sinn Féin should never have been trusted. Therefore you are firm in your demand that the IRA must decommission and you are prepared to accept the collapse of the Agreement though you know that it will not bring an end to the conflict. You are a member of the national parliament and therefore you have easy access to anyone you wish to talk to. You can make direct contact with the Unionist Party leadership without sending a message through the post office.
