Events Launch of Accord 17: The limits of leadership: elites and societies in the Nagorny Karabakh peace process Conciliation Resources launched its new Accord
publication on the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorny Karabakh in the South
Caucasus with several events in January and February 2006 aimed at encouraging
wider debate about the conflict. Yerevan, Armenia: 26 January 2006 ![]() More than 100 representatives of local and international
organizations, government agencies, universities, the media and foreign
missions in Armenia met to hear key findings from the publication and
discuss the emerging lessons.
![]() The launch was held at the International Press Club in partnership with the National Centre for Strategic Initiatives (NCSI). The event was chaired by Farhad Mamedov, director of NCSI and attended by 80 representatives from civil society, academia, the media, foreign missions and the government. Speakers included:
An invited audience of more than 80 people including MPs, diplomats,
academic researchers, and government and NGO representatives attended
the publication launch at the Houses of Parliament in London, which
was sponsored and chaired by Angus Robertson, MP.

The publication was also presented at a roundtable discussion on ‘The Nagorny Karabakh conflict and its relevance for peace processes in Georgia’, in partnership with the Heinrich Boell Foundation at their offices in Tbilisi.
