In this report, Laurence Broers of Conciliation Resources explains the findings of a project funded by the European Commission to help displaced communities to raise their political participation in Georgia.

Through various activities, the project has achieved some positive outcomes and raised the level of national debate on displacement but  many issues, such as establishing a satisfactory voice for these communities on the topic of conflict, remain unresolved.

The report outlines the main obstacles to adequate political participation, including the overall perception that integration prevents a return home.  It also explains the dangers of the continued lack of participation, including unhelpful portrayals of these communities and continued discrimination.
