Formerly an anti-apartheid activist and member of the Mass Democratic Movement working to promote peaceful structural change in South Africa, Eldred De Klerk is Programme Manager of the Policing Programme at the Graduate School of Public and Development Management at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa.

Enrique Alvarez was a founder member of the Civil Society Assembly, representing the investigative research sector. He was a member of the Accompanying Commission from October 1997 until January 2001. He currently works as director of Incidencia Democrática, a research institute.

Kåre Lode worked for Norwegian Church Aid in Mali between 1987-88 and was their consultant for reconciliation in Gourma in 1995-96. He currently works as a Researcher at the Centre for Inter-Cultural Communication in Norway.

Kate Fearon

Kate Fearon is a founding member of the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition. She was the NIWC’s Chief of Staff in the negotiations for the Belfast Agreement and in the inaugural Northern Ireland Assembly. She went on to become Deputy Head of the Political Department of the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2009 and 2010 she was the Governance Advisor on rule of law issues to the UK-led Helmand Provincial Reconstruction Team in Afghanistan. Until 2012 she was the Head of the Mitrovica Office for the International Civilian Representative in Kosovo. Most recently she has been working for the UK Department for International Development in Sudan.

Marrack Goulding

As a UN Under-Secretary-General from 1986 to 1997, Sir Marrack Goulding was involved in the negotiation and implementation of peace settlements in Africa, the Middle East, Central America, Haiti, Cambodia, the former Soviet Union and Yugoslavia. He is currently Warden of St. Antony's College, Oxford. 

Miriam Coronel Ferrer

Miriam Coronel Ferrer is director of the Programme on Peace, Conflict Resolution and Democratisation at the University of the Philippines and currently a member-consultant of the Reciprocal Working Committee for Political and Economic Reforms of the Government Negotiating Panel for talks with the National Democratic Front.

Monseñor Leonardo Gomez Serna

Monseñor Leonardo Gomez Serna was the Bishop of the Diocese of Socorro and San Gil from 1996 until 2001. Currently the Bishop of Magangue, he is involved in various national peace initiatives and is a founding member of REDEPAZ

Quintin Oliver

Quintin Oliver has worked in the Northern Ireland peace process as an NGO activist and latterly a political lobbyist. He ran the successful "YES" Campaign in the 1998 referendum on the Belfast Agreement. He now runs the political consultancy 'Stratagem', and an international referendum group 'Politicks'.

Tania Palencia Prado

Tania Palencia Prado is a Guatemalan writer and researcher. She is the editor of the weekly newsletter Inforpress Centroamericana in Guatemala. She has acted as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Centre for Human Rights and Democratic Development (Montreal), the Lutheran World Federation and USAID. She is the author of numerous articles and publications, including Peace in the Making: Civil Groups in Guatemala (London: Catholic Institute for International Relations, 1996).
