West Africa Programme Director
Full-time, (37.5 hours)
Location: London-based (Islington), with frequent travel
Duration: one-year renewal contract (subject to funding)
Salary: £41,642 plus pension
We are seeking an experienced manager to develop and coordinate our programme of work in West Africa, specifically in Sierra Leone and the Mano River sub-region. Reporting to the Director of Programmes, you will lead a small team based in Sierra Leone in pursuing programme goals including enabling partner organisations to engage in peacebuildling, conflict transformation and governance processes, to promote best practice in peacebuilding and to develop the programme across the region.
Candidates should have practical conflict resolution experience of working in the West Africa region, in designing and implementing peacebuilding interventions with a minimum of three years’ experience in programme and personnel management and have experience in both fundraising and financial management.
