Maria van Ruiten, Strategy and Coordination Adviser, EPNK

Maria van Ruiten joined Conciliation Resources in May 2012 as Strategy and Coordination Advisor for the European Partnership for the Peaceful Settlement of the Conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh (EPNK).

She has previously worked as task manager for the European Commission at the EU Delegations in Russia, Georgia and Afghanistan, where for the past ten years she has been responsible for managing projects post-conflict rehabilitation, peacebuilding and security sector reform.

She holds degrees in Russian Studies and Law from the University of Leiden in The Netherlands. Languages other than English: Dutch and Russian (fluent), French and German (good), Dari and Georgian (very basic).
